Guide to Presentation at International Sessions

Each participant will have 20 minutes. Please give a short presentation of 5-10 minutes, and use the rest of the time for questions and answers. The short presentation should be given by the presenter on the spot or by sharing a short video created by the presenter on the screen.

A Guide to Creating Presentation Video Files

The international sessions will be held in both on-demand presentations and real-time sessions. Therefore, presenters are requested to upload a presentation video (mp4) of up to 15 minutes long and at most 500MB in size.

April 1 (Thursday) to May 18 (Tuesday)

*** How to Make a Video ***
Please create a video file using one of the following methods.

  1. A video file in mp4 format exported from the narrated slides of Microsoft PowerPoint or Keynote.
  2. A video file in mp4 format recorded from online conferencing systems such as Zoom, Webex, etc. or video distribution systems such as mmhmm.
  3. A video file in mp4 format created with Adobe Premiere, iMovie, etc.

When you submit your video file, please change the file name to “your paper ID + full name.mp4”. Also, please be sure to add the revision number when replacing the file.

  • The copyright of the contents belongs to the presenter. The copyright will not be transferred to JSAI, but we ask for permission to post the contents on the conference website.
  • The presenter is responsible for any copyright and trademark issues. Please prepare your presentation materials with this in mind. The following items are not allowed to be published.
    • Any unauthorized use of the faces of famous musicians, athletes, entertainers, etc., from Japan or abroad (photographs, videos, music, etc.)
    • Any unauthorized use of photos, etc. in which the face of an individual can be recognized.
    • Any unauthorized use of photos copied from the websites.
    • Any unauthorized use of domestic or foreign manga, animation, or artistic works.
    • Any unauthorized use of music covered by copyright.

About presentations in interactive sessions

The conference is held online, and the interactive session will be held from 17:20 to 19:00 on June 9th (Wednesday), the second day of the conference.

Zoom is used for the online conference system, and one room is assigned to each speaker using Zoom’s breakout room. Unlike the last conference, each speaker has 1 hour and 40 minutes (presentation through the session) instead of 30 minutes so that you can discuss with more participants.

The style of presentation is left to the speaker. You can share a poster on the screen, or you can explain using several slides.

Before the conference, please create and register a poster. The registered poster can be referred to from the web programs that will be released after May 21, and will also be available for batch download from the conference web page.

About uploading poster data

  1. Poster specifications
    Please use 1 page, A4 landscape, PDF format. Other formats are supported on the registration site, but please use PDF.

  2. How to upload
    Presenters should upload the file from the program browsing site “My Menu”-> “Your Related Lectures”-> “Register Additional Information for Presenters” and set it to be public. Please see below for details. The login ID and password for the above program browsing site will be notified to the registered participants by the admission ticket email scheduled to be delivered around May 21st.
    Note that the program browsing site needs the authentication after papers are published there.

  3. Upload period
    Start: Around May 21, 2021 (It will become possible after receiving the admission ticket email)
    Deadline: June 1, 2021 14:00 (please adhere to it)

  4. Copyright Notice

    Speakers are requested to register for participation in advance. If you have not completed registration, you will not be able to upload posters because your account on the program browsing site will not be registered.

About the presentation

  1. This conference is held online, and the interactive session will be held from 17:20 to 19:00 on June 9th (Wednesday), the second day of the conference.
  2. We will assign one room to each speaker using Zoom’s breakout room. Unlike the last conference, each speaker has 1 hour and 40 minutes (presentation through the session) instead of 30 minutes so that you can discuss with more participants.
  3. On the day of the session, please connect to Zoom 10 minutes before the session starts and move to the assigned breakout room (presentation number) for preparation. Please connect to the corresponding Zoom from the link displayed in the timetable of the program browsing site.
  4. Set the user name (display name) for Zoom as follows so that the speaker can be identified by the user name. Please use alphabetical notation for your name.
    e.g.) When the presentation number is 3Rin4-32 → 32: Hanako SAITO
  5. The presentation style will be left to the speaker. You can share a poster on the screen, or you can explain using several slides.
